Providing nutritious meals, snacks and introducing new foods to the children are important aspects of our Nutrition Program.
We believe healthy eating habits start at a young age and that eating healthy lends to appropriate growth and development as well as plays an active role in learning. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, CDC, childhood obesity has more than doubled in children in the past 30 years.
We aim to provide a well rounded menu that is not only age appropriate but nutritious and healthy. At KidTowne, we serve breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. Our meals include a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as whole grains, proteins and milk.
Our policy does not allow food to be brought in to the school. Any exceptions must be discussed with the Director. If there are any special dietary needs or severe allergy concerns that would prohibit your child from eating what we are serving, please discuss the specifics with the Director.
You can be assured that your child will enjoy nourishing meals that will help them grow strong and that will help them develop good eating habits.
KIDTOWNE IS A TREE NUT/PEANUT FREE FACILITY- No nuts or nut products are allowed.
Our menus exceed the states minimum requirements for food components and quantities under the USDA Child Care Food Program. Below we have posted a sample menu for you to see the kinds of meals we would offer.
